We have wrote in this blog about “Apostolic Servant-hood”, you can read there about “Servanthood”, but then Jesus also knew His Authority, the Authority that had been given to Him.
Jesus said, “All Authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me.”
We need to know our Authority, that Authority has been given to us. This doesn’t mean to mistreat, abuse or oppress people, but it is important for us to know our Authority given to us and the responsibilities given to us because Jesus himself knew His authority. We need to know what Authority has been given to us, or what responsibilities has been given to us.
After Jesus died and rose again, He knew that All Authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Him. Jesus told, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me”.
We know that Jesus live a life of servant-hood, washing his disciple’s feets, making himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant. Jesus was not Abusive Authoritarian, But He knew that All Authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Him.
Jesus was a servant leader, washing his disciple’s feet, who humbled himself, taking the very nature of a servant (Phil 2:5-11), yet knows His Authority. Matt 28:18 He told, “All Authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me”. Therefore, a leader must be a servant leader, yet knowing the Responsibilities given to him/her.
